A Thread Lift is an innovative treatment to improve the signs of ageing. The facial threads method is an alternative to a more invasive surgical treatment of a traditional facelift.

A Thread Lift involves the use of facial threads, or sutures, which will be inserted under the skin and provide a supporting structure for sagging tissues. The threads are made from substances that have been used in surgical absorbable sutures for many years and are proven to be both safe and non-allergenic. They stay in the body for 6 to 18 months, depending on the type of absorbable suture material used, thus providing structural support where needed for longer period of time.

The threads used in the Thread Lift procedure take 15 to 45 minutes to insert, depending if the entire face is being treated or only smaller regions are being lifted. There are no visible scars as a result of the procedure. The results are noticeable immediately after the procedure, and improve over the next 8-12 weeks, when they reach a peak. Final results will last from one to three years, depending on type of suture material used. Implementing other precautions such as avoiding excessive amounts of drinking and smoking, which contribute considerably to the ageing process will complement the effect of your Thread Lift treatment.

You will be advised of some basic precautions to take before the procedure and during the recovery time to ensure that you achieve the best possible results.

Dermapen Skin Needling

PDO thread

PDO thread is bioabsorbable suture made with synthetic molecule called Polydioxanone. Polydioxanone suture provides wound support for longer period as compared to other synthetic absorbable sutures. Absorption is by simple hydrolysis within 180 days from implantation day, it is reliable and predictable.

PLLA

Poly L-lactic acid suture is effective for the volumization of the face and lifting of volume depleted areas. Absorption is by simple hydrolysis within 18 months from implantation day.

P(LA/CL)

Poly (L-Lactic acid-ε-caprolactone) is a new thread which combines all the advantages of PLLA and PCL while overcoming the disadvantage of PDO threads. P(LA/CL) sutures are resorbable within 18 to 24 months, acting on the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate the body to produce its own collagen and elastin.
